XANAPUK LAND, WATER, CULTURE CONSERVANCY INC.

MAT’TOM NYA’KOOR

The Xanapuk started on its journey during a sacred ceremony called the Keruk, that hasn’t been practiced for many years. We strive to protect what we must from our ancestral lands to the songs that talk of our journeys of old, to the language that once was spoken every day, to the waters that brings life.

In this video, the singer is singing a style called Pipa which translate to People. The song talks about adventures, dances, warfare, and the creator. This is an example how to dance the style.

The earth does not belong to man, man belongs to the earth. All things are connected like the blood that unites us all. Man did not weave the web of life; he is merely a strand in it. Whatever he does to the web, he does to himself.
